Dr Carolyn Bulman is a GP with a special interest in menopause, lifestyle medicine and metabolic health. She is passionate about helping women optimize their health through evidence-based medicine while recognizing the important role that nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and healthy habits play in long-term wellbeing. Originally trained in Canada she has practiced in both Canada and New Zealand across a range of primary care settings and holds her FRNZCGP. She has undertaken additional training in Lifestyle Medicine and has completed her diploma through the Australasian Academy of Lifestyle Medicine. She enjoys supporting women through the changes of menopause, with a particular interest in metabolic health, insulin resistance and weight management, including the thoughtful use of GLP-1 medications as part of a sustainable approach to health. She also has experience supporting adults with ADHD and understands the unique ways that hormonal changes and mental wellbeing can intersect during midlife. Outside of medicine, Carolyn lives in the Queenstown area and enjoys hiking, snowboarding and spending time outdoors with her family.
