Menopause Doctor
MB ChB (Otago), FRNZCGP, MSCP
Born and bred in the Bay of Plenty, Emily grew up in Taupo and moved to Tauranga 3 years ago with her husband and young family. Graduating from Otago Medical school in 2009 (MBChB), Emily has worked across Aotearoa, most notably in Rotorua hospital including in the O&G department, and completing her RACP Diploma in Child Health. Emily is a Specialist GP, having gained her Fellowship with the RNZCGP in 2017 in Wellington. She has 10 years experience seeing a high volume of women’s health through her role as a GP. She is also a qualified Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and member of The Menopause Society. Her breadth of experience has driven her to take a holistic approach to optimise each woman’s health, and to encourage and empower them to make sustainable lifestyle changes. ‘I’m thrilled to have the consultation time to focus on each individual woman’s needs, listen to their unique stories and impart my knowledge of lifestyle and nutritional health alongside the increasing options now available to women in their menopause season. Helping ladies feel like themselves again is exciting and inspiring.’ Between 3 growing young children, Emily enjoys pilates, mountain biking, and getting out in nature - particularly the bush and snowy mountains.
