Menopause Doctor
MBBS (Newcastle), PGCertWEM, FRNZCGP
Dawn is originally from England, where she graduated from medical school in 2008 and began her emergency medicine training in 2011. She also served in the Royal Navy during this time. In 2016, she made the big move to New Zealand with her partner and their two young kids. Shortly after arriving in NZ she started work in general practice and later became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. In 2022 she also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Wilderness and Expedition Medicine. Dawn has been passionate about women’s health since her medical school days and is especially excited to now focus on menopause care in a truly holistic way. As someone going through perimenopause herself, she genuinely relates to the experiences many women face during this stage of life and brings empathy and insight to her practice. She is also experienced in weight management and is able to prescribe all key GLP-1 medications where clinically appropriate, supporting patients with a safe and evidence-based approach. Outside of work, you’ll often find Dawn out in nature, tramping or mountain biking with her family and friends.
