Dr Dawn Herbett
MBBS (Newcastle), PGCertWEM, FRNZCGP
Dawn is originally from England, where she graduated from medical school in 2008 and began her emergency medicine training in 2011. In 2016, she made the big move to New Zealand with her partner and their two young kids. Shortly after arriving in NZ she started work in general practice and later became a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. In 2022 she also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Wilderness and Expedition Medicine.
Dawn has been passionate about women’s health since her medical school days and is especially excited to now focus on menopause care in a truly holistic way. As someone going through perimenopause herself, she genuinely relates to the experiences many women face during this stage of life and brings empathy and insight to her practice.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Dawn out in nature, tramping or mountain biking with her family and friends.

We offer extended 45-minute consultations instead of the typical 15-minute appointments to ensure you do not feel rushed and can have all your concerns addressed fully.
