Registered Nutritionist
BSc (Human Nutrition), Registered Nutritionist, Dip Sport & Rec
Originally a Bay of Plenty girl, Jess grew up in Tauranga but moved around with work and travel and is now living by the beach in Papamoa with her husband and 2 children. Jess completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition at Otago University in 2012 and since then has worked as a Registered Nutritionist (Nutrition Society of NZ) in clinic and specialises in nutrition to support gut issues (IBS & IBD), hormone health and weight challenges. She has also done corporate work with Zespri Japan. She is passionate and knowledgeable about the delicate balance of blood sugars and insulin hormone and how this impacts our stress, weight, inflammation and sex hormones. Nutrition advice is a minefield, she uses a holistic evidence based approach that cuts through the confusion and helps women to thrive during this phase of life. As a former competitive swimmer, she now enjoys keeping fit at a boxing, weights gym and will be in the water, surfing when there's swell. As a mum of 2 young children, we spend a lot of time at the beach and weekends away in our caravan.
