Your first consultation involves a 45-minute appointment with one of our dedicated doctors.

We also provide your initial prescription, blood testing and any referrals to other providers as needed.

Here is everything that is included in the cost of your first consultation with us: 

• Review of the detailed new patient questionnaire to explore your symptoms, medical history, family history and lifestyle.
• 45-minute specialised menopause consultation with one of our doctors
• Personalised management plan for your specific symptoms and concerns.
• Comprehensive letter for you and your current GP, summarising your Menodoctor appointment and personalised management plan
• Your first prescription sent directly to your chosen pharmacy for treatments such as HRT or other medications
• Blood test forms and scan requests emailed to you, if any further investigations are needed
• Referrals sent directly to other specialists if any other reviews are needed
• Free email communication (reasonable) for the first 4 week following your appointment in case of any immediate queries or concerns.

No referrals are required. You can simply book an appointment directly through our website. 

If however, you would like your GP or doctor to share your past medical history with us, please get them to visit the GP REFERRALS page on our website

If you have 'Private GP cover' specified in your Southern Cross / healthcare insurance plan then you will be able to claim some / all of the cost back. 

(Please note that this is different to specialist cover)

Even though we are classified as 'Specialist GPs', Health insurance companies classifies 'specialists' differently.

If you have GP cover, then the way the process works is you will need to pay for the appointment yourself. Then when the appointment has taken place, you can request an invoice from us using this link

We will then create an invoice that includes the correct details that the insurance company needs in order to process your claim.

We prescribe pharmaceutical grade bio-identical hormones in the form of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone, tailored to each woman’s own unique needs. 

We don’t prescribe compounded hormones because the purity and quality of these products cannot be guaranteed.

Yes you can - we are able to offer advice outside of NZ - however we are unable to prescribe any medications.

We can help you with advice on how to approach your local GP/MD and create a referral letter which will summarise your symptoms and recommend how these can best be supported
